The Citizenship School of Political Studies is a Moroccan dynamic in associative action created in December 2012, as a part of strengthening the initiatives and accompaniment of Moroccan actors involved in different spheres of public action, and holders of actions in the political, economic, social, cultural and environmental fields.
Strong in its territorial anchorage, and its constitution carried by forty Networks also national and regional NGOs , acting in various areas of democratic governance and human rights , the action of the Citizenship School focuses on training of young Moroccan leaders on the acting national public policies , and interacting with issues related to the new challenges of the implementation of the constitution. It is to create spaces for debate involving strong connections between theoretical knowledge and practical skills in order to translate policy into understandable actions.
The action of the school is organized as a cycle of training and benefits, each year, thirty of actors from de two sexes are selected from all regions of the country, following a call for applications. This group follows a series of seminars, round tables and conference mentored by experts and practitioners, national and international, coming from different backgrounds and multiple experiences.
The approach of the School aims to add value by entering the collective work of the group in the analysis of concepts, in the same time, the acquisition of the necessary tools for political action. Its purpose is strengthening the development and positioning of young leaders (political parties, unions, NGOs, parliamentarians, politicians and managers of Commons …) who are able to stimulate the debate on human rights and democracy in all structures of society.
The school is a member of the Association of Schools of Political Studies, based in Strasbourg, and is part of the dynamics of the Council of Europe to support democratic reforms in the Southern Mediterranean.
